Electrocompaction

Electrocompaction of conductors on single-core and multi-core cables.

DESCRIPTION

ACM performs conductor electrocompaction processes as a cable preparation process aimed at improving the stability of the electrical connection and the quality of the termination.

The process allows the conductor's elementary strands to be uniformly compacted, achieving a homogeneous and mechanically stable cross-section without the addition of external materials. Electrocompaction improves the continuity of the electrical contact and facilitates subsequent crimping and tightening operations.

Compared to tinning, electro-compaction ensures greater connection stability over time, particularly in screw and spring terminals, where the use of tinned conductors is often discouraged or not permitted by regulations and manufacturer specifications. The absence of fusible material reduces the risk of loosening the connection under thermal and mechanical stress.

Processing can be requested as a specific operation or integrated into the complete cable processing cycle, depending on the final application and the customer's needs.
