Tinning

Stagnatura su cavi unipolari e multipolari.

DESCRIPTION

ACM performs conductor tinning as a finishing process aimed at protecting the copper from oxidation and improving the quality of the electrical connection, particularly in applications involving soldering or insertion into plugs and connectors.

Tinning involves uniformly coating the strands with a layer of tin, which improves the surface conductivity of the conductor and facilitates assembly, reducing the risk of fraying during termination operations.

Upon request, the processing can be preceded by twisting the strands, a procedure particularly suitable for PVC-insulated cables, where the individual wires are not twisted together as they are in FEP-insulated cables. Twisting allows for a more compact and tidier conductor, improving the quality of the tinning and the stability of the final connection.

Tinning can be requested as a single process or integrated into the complete cable preparation cycle, depending on the application and the customer's technical specifications.
